Dean G. Bodley was appointed dean of the city's new Community High School by the Ann Arbor Board of Education last night. The new school, scheduled to open in September with a projected enrollment of 520, will be located in downtown Ann Arbor. Bodley will be paid $22,500 annually in his new position. A lifetime resident of the Ann Arbor area, Bodley received BS and MA degrees from Eastern Michigan University in 1966 and 1969. Since 1968, he has taught physical education at Slauson Junior High School, and was chairman of the I cal education department at the time of his appointment. Slauson is a demonstration school for I the President's Council on Physical I ness and has won national recognition for its program. Earlier, Bodley taught physical education at Pinckney High School and was a swimming instructor at Lincoln High School in Ypsilanti. Bodley and wife and their six children reside at 2051 Chaucer Drive in Ann Arbor.
