Pioneer Principal Appointed
JosÉph F. Pollack wa?appointed principal of Pioneer High School last night by the Ann Arbor Board of Education. Pollack, who has been interim principal al Pioneer since the beginning of the current school year, will receive an annual salary of $27,140. The appointment was effective April 13. The new Pioneer principal holds bachelor's and master's degrees from Wayne State University and is completing his doctoral work at the U-M. Prior to coming to Ann Arbor last year, Pollack was an assistant professor of education and director of the Livonia area student teacher program for Michigan State University. Previously, he was an assistant principal at Detroit's Martin Luther King High Schooi and taught for several years in Detroit public schools and at Wayne ' State University. Pollack, his wife and two children recently moved to Ann Arbor, residing at 1724 Saxon St.
