Mcpherson To Present A $27 Million Budget
A 1972-73 operating budget totaling $27,089,182 will be presented Wednesday at the Ann Arbor Board of Education meeting at 7:30 p.m. at Lawton Elementary School, 2250 South Seventh. The proposed budget, which represents an increase of $2,003,380 over last year, also includes several system-wide cuts in department heads and school building requests. The board will also consider a recommendation for the closing of Meadowview School, 4377 Textile Rd., for next year. According to the recommendation, rollment and projected enrollment figures indícate that it is not economically feasible to continue to opérate Meadowview as a separate facility."A new Mack principal will be appointed by the board. Other agenda items include: - Reconsideration of press admittance to executive sessions. - Approval of guidelines and procedures for transfer of building administrators. - Information on the status of health services in the schools.
