Meadowview School which opened in 1953, will close its doors forever this week. To mark the closing, approved by the Ann Arbor Board of Education last month, a group of mothers who have opposed the board's action will sponsor a closing ceremony 2 p.m. Friday at the three-grade facility, 4377 Textile Rd. Mrs. Shirley Ellicott is one of the mothers planning the informal ceremony. "We want to show our feelings of distress at the school's closing," the Pittsfield Township mother said.
