The of Education is ásking the administration to develop a plan for evaluation of all administrative staff and teachers in the district. In a resolution w h i c h passed 5 to 1 last night, the board directed the superintendent to develop a plan which would nave as a "near goal" the re-evaluation of 100 per cent of all teaching stafí this year. Supt. R. Bruce McPherson said the request was beiiig kmposed at a time when evaluation procedures are ing 'considered by Ihe administration and Ann Arbor Education Association. Trustee Duane Renken, who introduced the resolution, said he was interested in something happening quickly. He added the administrative staff and taachers should be reviewed thoroughly. Larry Stewart, president of the Ann Arbor Education Association (AAEA), sáid he didn't like the implication of the proposal which indicates there is no evaluation plan now. He pointed out there are several plans in the master agreement between teachers and the board and he suggested reviewing those first. The AAEA leader added, "Evaluation of 100 per cent of I the administrative and teaching staffs is an admirable goal It was an admirable goal when we (AAEA) proposed it in May. I would prefer an evaluation that took some time. We agreed to 25 per cent because of the argum e n t s of administrative cost." Trustee Charles Good voted against the resolution. Those in favor included: Renken, ' Cecil Warner, Ted Heusel, Clarence Dukes and Ralph Bolhouse. .
