Chamber Backs Bond Proposal
The Ann Arbof Public Schools three-p art bonding proposal, scheduled to be decided by voters Dec. 18, has won the "full fledged support" of the board of directors of the Ann Arbor Area Chamber of Commerce. The bonding proposals, which' total $9,505,000, include onc i'or school sites, buildings and renovations; one for service and administrative facilities; and one for library addition. Each may be voted on separately. In its newsletter issued yesterday, the chamber said: "Although all the proposals are extremely important and interrelated, . . . proposal 1 (school sites, building and renovations) is critical. If this issue were to fail the local school system would be faced with a severe shortage of classroom space."
