On Monday, June 8, Ann Arbor School District voters will select three Board of Education members from the 11 seeking election. All registered voters - property owners and non-property owners - will have the privilege of voting on all issues. This marks a departure from past elections. The voting rights of non-property owners are now being determined by the Supreme Court. As it does prior to all local elections, the Ann Arbor chapter of the League of Women Voters has had members interview all candidates, asking three questions of each. 1 - Do you support the proposed bonding request, the 3.10 operational millage request, and the vocational education millage request? 2 - Excluding finances, what do you think is the most serious concern facing the Ann Arbor School District? 3 - What. if any, alternative to the present suspensión-expulsión discipline procedures would you suggest? Candidates' answers appear below. Voters seeking other election information may receive LWV help by telephoning 665-5018 or 662-4281.
