10 School Candidates File In Ann Arbor
Ten candidates, including one incumbent, have filed petit.'ons to run for three seats on the Ann Arbor Board of Education June 11. Trustee Charles Good, 1320 Cambridge, is the only incumbent to file. Terms held by Good and Trustees Paul Carrington and Robert Conn expire June 30. Persons who have filed petitions to run for the school board are: Henry Alting, 4880 Grandview, Ypsilanti (he lives fia PMSfíéláTfownship wliïch ú within the Ann Arbor District) ; Wendy Barhydt, 830 Bruce St. ; Merrylin Martin, 1565 Roxbury Rd. ; Patricia Pooley, 16 Geddes Heights; Christopher Reaske, 1503 E. Park Place; Charles Votaw, 2182 Yorktown Dr.; Paul Weinhold, 3007 Lexington; Judith Ann Wood, 2917 Ward Ct; and Diana Autin, 1018 Church St. Persons filing to run for the three-year terms have until 5 p.m. Thursday to withdraw r canclidacies, according to election officials. In addition t o t h e school board candidates election, the June 11 ballot will include two millage issues. The Board of Education is requesting voters to approve an 11.66-mül renewal for support of the schools which would maintain the current level of support at 32.55 milis plus a separate j 1 mili authorization for support of the Ann Arbor Public Library.
