VOTJSttS OK. AR1A MILLAGË . . . 271 votes. Robert L. Daniels received 742 votes for the one one-year term available in the Chelsea district. The other candidate for that seat, Eino Michelson, received 240 votes. CLÍNTON (J In the Clinton School District, voters approved a request to renew foilr milis for operating for three years. The request, approved 155 to 54, was for one mili less than the current additional voted millage in the district's budget. Clinton voters cast a total of 209 ballots in the election that also decided who will fill two school board vacancies for the next four years. No incumbents were in the running, and the victors were R. Dean Kirkland with 185 votes and Glenn Clark with 121 votes. Other Clinton candidates were David Simpson with 75 votes and Henry Louwerens with 70 votes. DEXTËIt Twelve milis for operating for three years were renewed by 459 to 263 votes in the Dexter School District. With five candidates for two four-year school board seats, incumbents Norman D. Wilner and Thomas C. Hemingway were the runaway winners with 478 and 460 votes respectively. Other Dexter candidates on the ballot were : Tony C, Milazzo, 185; Robert B. Kozma, 170; and Barbara Gorham Young, 82. M r s . Young's name appeared on the ballot although she withdrew from the race two weeks ago. Dexter district voters cast a total of 726 ballots. ' ' ' MANCHESTER With a total of 292 ballots cast in the Manchester School District, voters approved renewal of 11.5 milis for one year's operating expenses by 226 to 65. Incumbent board member Lou Vogel, the only candidate for his four-year seat, received 273 votes. MILÁN In Milán, where voters were I confronted with no millage or bonding proposals, Marie Tellas was the winner with 249 of 337 votes cast. Mrs. Tellas becomes the first woman to sit on the Milan School Board in the past 20 years, replacing Dr. Justin Dunmire who did not seek reelection to his four-year seat. Other Milan board candidates were: Robert Scofield, 32 votes; James Campbell, 26! votes; and Mrs. Dorothy Thomas, 20 votes. PINCKNEY In the Pinckney district, a light voter turnout with 502 ballots cast greeted a no-issue election. Winners of two four-year school board posts in the district were Joseph Malik Jr., 239, and Gary Cook, 160. Other Picnkney district candidates were: Della Wylie, 117; Betty Jones, 93; and Donald A. Hayden, 89. SALINE Saline voters maintained their constant recent record of supporting millage requests by approving tlieir school board's ballot proposed for 12.92 miUs for operating for one year. The request, with 611 "yes" votes and 333 "no" votes cast, included 10.85 milis renewal and permission for school officials to transfer 2.07 milis from debt retirement to operating. A total of 1014 ballots were cast in the Saline district where nine district residents vied for two four-year terms on the school board. The winners were incumbent School Board Treasurer Mrs. Elaine Heiserman with 497 votes and Saline Pólice Corp. William Taylor with 398 votes. Other Saline candidtes were: Rob er t Perry, 368; Robert Harvey, 274; Elaine O'Connor, 18 0; Dr. Carter Bishop, 126; Stephanie Nelson, 30; Maxine Nelson, 22; and Lawrence Carris, 17. SOUTH LYON Louis J. Radnothy with 469 votes and Mary Beth Rollings with 322 votes won the two school board seats in the South Lyon School District. Other candidates included Lis Lintner, 179; Curtis Hamilton, 155; Sam Bailo, 145; Thomas Fennelly, 51 and Marilyn Fabits, 14. There were no issues on the ballot. WILLOW RUN Clyde Welsh and Yvonne Carmahan captured two of three contested seats on the Willow Run School Board, and incumbent Oscar Butler, running unopposed, retained the third. Butler, who is a 1 s o vicepresident of the board, received 211 votes, the highest total of any candidate, to win a two year term. Welsh, with 193 votes, and Carmahan with 181 votes, both won four-year terms. Welsh and Carmahan will replace former board members Harold Brooks and Kimball Chun, who did not seek re-election. Opposing Welsh and Carmahan were Clifford Justice, who I received 117 votes, and Loren I Alexander, who got 86 votes. I
