Dr. Ronald Bishop, 1011 Lincoln, and Henry Landau, 1004 Spruce, were appointed co-chairmen of the Citizen's Advisory Millage Committee Wednesday night by the Ann Arbor Board of Education. Landau and Bishop will chair the first meeting of the committee at 7:30 tonight in Tappan Junior High School. The committee is to be composed of two representatives of eách school within the 1 trict. The committee will seek to inform voters about the two millage issues they will decide on Nov. 19: a 6.67-mill renewal and an additional one mili for upgrading buildings, sites and equipment. Two groups, the League of Women Voters and the Ann Arbor Education Association (AAEA), have already gone on record in support of both issues. AAEA President Larry Stewart said Wednesday night the teachers have donated $150 toward the campaign. The Board of Education approved the official notice of the election last night. When board members inquired about election costs, LeRoy Cappa ert, assistant to the superintendent, said costs should be reduced between $3,000 and $4,000 from the $23,000 spent on the J une election. Cappaert said the school district plans to cut the number of electión workers and voting machines by about ene-third. Ann. Arbor residents will vote at the same locations as they did during the school electión in June, according to school electión officials.
