Editor, The News: The League of Women Voters of Ann Arbor urges all registered voters in the Ann Arbor School District to vote YES for the two millage proposals on the ballot, Monday, Nov. 19. ■ Proposal A is a request for renewal for 6.67 milis of the present operating funds for five years. This is not an increase in the current tax rate. RENEWAL is important NOW to enable efficiënt planning for next year's budget and operations. Continued local financial support of the school system increases in importance as the amount of state funds continúes to decrease. Proposal B is a request for one additional mili (one dollar per thousand dollars assessed valuation) for five years. This levy would provide a fund for necessary renovations and repair of buildings and sites. It would also provide money for repair and replacement of equipment for science, industrial and occupational education, music, reading, libraries and I recreation. This fund could not be used for salary increases. For more information, cali the School Administration Office, 665-7711, or the office of the League of Women Voters of Ann Arbor, 761-0978.
