2 School Candidates Withdraw

Those remaining on the balfot are Dr. I Jerome Epstein, 2412 Shannondale Rd.; I Shelley Ettinger, 112 Adams Ave.; John I A. Heald, 2154 Delaware Dr.; Maxine I Henson, 2755 Page Ave.; D. Stephen iMcCargar, 211 Bucholz Ct.; Charles D. I Moody Sr., 3521 WindemereCt.; Bernice Isobin, 2724 Lowell Rd.; George M. I Wright, 2035 Miller Rd.; Running for re-eleqtion are Board I President Clarence Dukes, 816 Sunrise I Ct., who is completing his first threeI year term in June, and Trustee Cecil I Warner, 2416 Nixon Rd., who has served I six years on the school board. Trustee Henry Johnson, whose term alI so expires in June, decided not to run for I re-election. The candidates are running for one of I three terms of three years each. Nine I persons serve on the Board of Education. I Trustees are not paid. I Also on the ballot will be requests for I two renewals plus additional millage. In I addition to renewing a 3-mill levy for I school operations and 1 mili for support of the Ann Arbor Public Library, the school board is asking voters to approve an additional 1.5 milis for school operations.
