There will be a number of contests for offices in Brighton, Genoa, Green Oak, Hamburg and Putnam Townships in Livingston County, in Lyon Township in Oakland County and in Lenawee County's Clinton Township. Incumbent Murial Beurmann will face John W. Dilloway for the Republican nomination for. clerk in Brighton Township. Also in Brighton Township, five persons will be vying for the Republican nomination for the two four-year trustee posts. They are incumbents Leonard Farmer and James Cain, and O. O. Cor saut III, Frederic G. Heath and Rudolph Sistek. There are races for the Republican nominations for most of the offices in Genoa Township. Supervisor candidates include incumbent Sherman Halier, Calvin Odöm and Meivin L. Simon. Clerk candidates are incumbent dorothy Verellen and Wendy Peterson. Incumbent Dorothy Musch is opposed by Charles Weatherly for the four-year trustee's seat. Rachel Andrèsen, Maurice J. Heikkinen and John Schutters are Republican candidates for supervisor in Green Oak Township. Other Green Oak candidates seeking nominations follow: Democrat Sally York is running for clerk. Republican contenders for the two four-year trustee terms are incumbent Louis Driver, Larry Hollenbeck and Byron Stover. The clerk and trustee posts will be contested lor in Hamburg Township. Incumbent Henry N. Haas will be opposed by Andrey J. Bethke for the Republican nomination for clerk. Republican's seeking the nomination for the two four-year trustee posts include incumbent Donald C. Hassigan, George M. Huil and Frank H. Vosmik. Candidates seeking their party's nomination for the unexpired one-year term are Republicans Leon Leutz and Robert B. Thompson. In Putnam Township, County Cmsr. Herbert J. Schenden will be vying with Donald E. Fry for the Democratie nomination for supervisor. Three Democrats will be seeking the one constable nomination. They are Richard H. Pullen, James E. McKenna and Kurt H. Knipple. In Oakland County's Lyon Township, there will be a race for the Republican nominations for supervisor and the trustee post. Supervisor candidates include incumbent William K. Smith and Louis Underhill III. Incumbent Ronald Zollars will face Thomas. Fennelly in the trustee race. Two persons will be vying for the Republican nomination for the four-year trustee vacancy in Clinton Township and three for the Township Library Board. Trustee candidates are David Heimerdinger and Robert Winder. Seeking the Republican nomination for the two six-year library board positions are incumbent -John F. Colton and Agnes Geiger who will face Esther Schmidt.
