From 1957 to 1965 Bursley was assistant cürector of the University of Michigan Development I Council. His legislative experience began when he was elected to tbe House of Representaties in 1960. During his legislative career Bursley has been the principal sponsor of the Local River Management Act, the Industrial Reverme Bonding Act the State Schólarship Fund, the Humane Slaughter Act, I the Uniform Securities Act, the Metropolitan Transportation Authority Act, the State Research Fund and key bilis on economie development. A native of A-m Arbor, Bursley was graduated from the University of Michigan and the Harvard Business School. Ke served for some 17 yearsm military and diplomatic posts for the U.S. government mostly in the Middle East and Afnca.
