Richard H. Hollister of 2129 Devonshire is president of the Ann Arbor Historical Foundation which will raise funds to preervè historical sites, neighborhoods, buildings and records in the area. The foundation is a separate group from the Ann Arbor Historical Commission set ,n bv tóe dty but members of the commissk,J are on the foundation, and the foundaUon wm provide funds for the work of the commission. Articles of incorporation were adopted at an organizational meeting. The group I will solicit general private contnbutions. The City Council has pending Deiuie." an historical Preservation ordtaance designating historical sites in the city, and the Ann Arbor Historical Commission is drawSTup a list of historical sites which will I be given priority for preservation. A speciíic project being worked on at P4ent is the preservation of the Kempf I house on S División which may become a dtyguest house for visiting dignitanes a I museum and possibly headquarters for the IL,nHptinn_ the Historical Commission. An "historical square" at División and Arm I and preservation of the cobblestone I beU farm home on Packard Bd. m I field Township are other projects. There wül be four classifications of memberships in the foundation. They are (1) special honorary, (2) contnbuting (3) contributions of more than $2 500 and (4) citizen memberships of $5 and more. Besides Kempf, Spokes and Mrs. Towslev. members of the Historical Commission on the foundation are Herbert H. Bartlett, chairman of the commission; John R. Hathaway, vice-chairman of the Commission; and Mrs. Robert C. Hendrix, the commission's secretary. Ann Arbor city administrator Guy C. Larcom Jr is a member of the foundation as are Linda E. Eberbach and Dr C. Howard Ross, who are members of the wn!ht.p.Tiaw Historical Society; John R. Laird, chairman of the city's Planning Commission; and University Prof. Kingsbury Marzoff. representing the American Institute of Architects. Citizen members of the foundation are Circuit Judge Ross W. Campbell, Arthur P. Gallagher, editor of The News; Mrs. Leonard E. Himler of 2031 Medford; Hollister and Riecker. The commission, according to its bytaws must. meet at least six times a year
