Mooreville Methodist Church
In the above photo, the Mooreville Methodist Church built in 1849 now stands abandoned after many years of service to the community. Below, Mrs. Gertrude Ferrington, examines one of the old headstones in the Mooreville Cemetery. Many of Mooreville's early settlers are buried in the cemetery. In the photo at lower left, Mrs. Flossie Murray, who has lived in Mooreville more than 50 years, shows an old saw she still uses to Mrs. Ferrington. In the photo at lower right. Harold Brown, proprietor of Brown's General Store, and a relative "newcomer" to the community, discusses his sotre located in "downtown Mooreville" where the bookmobile stops weekly.
