Outdoor Rock Concert Season Starts Sunday
The Community Parks Program, (CPP) in conjunction with the Tribal Council, will present the first of 12 free rock concerts Sunday. The concerts will be held every Sunday during the summer on the field next to Hurón Hign I School on Fuller Road. Music will last from 2 until 6 p.m. with the park opening at 1 p.m. The bands playing this Sunday, in der of aWearance will be The Mojo Boogie Band, featuring Hawg Tate and Bal Lynn; Brat; Guardian Angel; and the Up. Each group will play for 45 minutes. This summer the CPP says it hopes to be able to present some nationally knovv talent appearing nearby as well as new talent. The CPP plans to present folk, jazz and blues as well as rock music. A variety of natural foods will be provided by the Tribal Council's food committee during the concert. Water and toilets will be at the site. The Psychedelic Rangers will be on hand during the cpncerts to control traffic and prevent the sale of drugs.
