Thirty-fíjSf persons arrested last Satuiv Jay by ly pólice during an anti-war "cráter digging" demonstration on the University campus were arraigned Monday in Ann Arbor District Court. Judge Pieter G. V. Thomassen had not guilty please entered for the defendants and ordered all but one to reappear in court for trial on July 11. Charles B. Rae, 18, of 426 Cross St. demanded examination on a charge of assaulting a pólice officer and that proceeding was set for June 28 when he also will appear for trial on a charge of malicious destruction of property. Judge ordered the release bonds posted for the defendants at the time of their I arrest to be continued. In addition to the adult arrests, six I juveniles, three of them 13 years of age, I have legal proceedings against them I pending. Twenty-five of those arraigned yesterI day are charged with malicious destrucItion of property. They include: Genie A. Plamondon, 24, of 1520 Hill I St.; Andrew T. Brown, 17, River Rouge; I Catherine Fling, 18, of 1340 N. University ■ Ave.; James L. Forrester, 24, of 530 S. I State St.; David L. Johnson, 18, of 526 I Packard St.; David S. Fenton, 20, of 1520 I Hill St; Robert M. CostteU, 22, of 543 S. I Forest Ave. and Patrick F. Pellochoud, I 23, of 305 Beakes St. Also charged with malicious destrucI tion of property are Edward L. Ross, 19, of 711 E. Ann St.; and I Diane M. Autin, 17, of 502 E. Madison St. I The malicious destruction charges I stemmed from damage done to sod I around the U-M Diagonal área when the I demonstrators began digging craters to I simúlate bomb holes in the Vietnam I War. j Other persons arrested Saturday and I appearing before Judge Thomassen on I Monday afternoon included Joe Prigun, I 17, of River Rouge, charged with disorderly conduct, and the following on charges of hindering and opposing a pólice officer: Edgar W. Hamilton, 20, of 1000 Hill St. ; Jonathon M. Goldman, 22, of 711 Oakland Ave.; Gregory P. Sobrian, 24, of 221 N. Fifth Ave.; Peter J. Roeper, 26, of 426 Cross St.; Robert L. Redmond, 27, of 700 Oxford Rd.; Thomas E. Stevenson, 19, of 720 Fountain St.; Dennis J. LeBoeuf, 20, of 620 Lawrence St.; and Jayme Lansing, 18, of 1531 Packard St. In addition, Roy R. Musson, 23, of 511 E. Hoover St., was charged with j sion of fireworks.
