Appointment of Robert Olney of Watertown, N.Y., as director of the Washtenaw County Library was announced to the Tounty Board of supervisors yesterday. He will come here Feb. 1. ; Olney is now with the North Country Library System in Wa;ertown and has previously been a high school librarían. His salary will be $13,000 with $4,800 of ;his to be reimbursed by the state. His predecessor, David W. Taylor, resigned in March to jecome coördinator of technical services in the state library. Wrs. Jane Benjamin has servedl as acting library director since Warch. Olney will be the third dirécor since the library 's establishment in the summer of 1962.
