The community college implelnentation committee divided itself into three area groups and named persons to head the information drive in each school district at an organizational session last night. The Ann Arbor group headed by Albert. J. Coudron will organize the elementary schooli districts in disseminating information about the two-year college proposal. Leaders in the eastern section of the county will be Frederick J. Peters Jr., Ypsilanti School District; G. Wayne Spike, Willow Run School District, and a representative to be named for the Lincoln School District. The third unit composed of six school districts will have as leaders: Mrs. Florence Mayer, Chelsea; Dr. Arthur J. Cox and Ethan Jones, Milán; William J. Hamilton, Manchester; Alian Grossman, Saline; Charles W. Applegate, Whitmore Lake, and Paul Bosel, Dexter. These persons and their top aides will be meeting in units during the next month to launch the drive in each area. Plans are to circuíate petitions in November calling for an election on the establishment I I - ' of the college with an election tentatively set for late January. Committee director Wyeth Allen and Robert Harrington today met with state education and legal staffs to work out the machinery for the election under the new law pertaining to community colleges.
