President Cleveland has sent in the name of Martin Cremer as postmaster of Ypsilanti. Mr. Cremer has for several years been the popular city marshal of Ypsilanti and is a man of thorough going business habits. His petition was very strongly endorsed by a large number of business men of the city. He will make an excellent postmaster. His chief competitor for the office was Mr. Frank P. Bogardus, who has been a valuable man in the community, is decidedly popular, has always been a sterling democrat and done effective work for the party and is of undoubted capacity. His friends all hope that he may receive an appointment in line with his taste. During the past week,, Messrs. Salsbury, Babbitt, Bogardus, Gremer, and othets have been in Washington.
