Corn- No. 2 February, opened 48½c, closed 49¼; March, opened 49½c, closed 49½c nominal; May, opened and closed 54⅝c. Oats- No. 2 May, opened 34¼-⅜, closed 34½c. Pork- February. opened $15.15, closed $15.17½; May. opened $15.55, closed 15.57½-60. Lard- February, opened $7.65, closed $7.60-62½.
Live stock- Following are the Union Stock yards quotations: Hogs- Market opened active and firm; prices 5c higher; light grades, $4.90@5.25; rough packing, $5.10@5.25; heavy packing and shipping lots, $5.50@5.95. Cattle-Market steady; good to choice beeves, strong, $4.50@5.15; common, weak, $3.25@4.00; cows, $1.75@8.00; stockers, $2.15@3.35. Sheep- Market slow; common, $2.75@3.75; good to choice, $4.25@4.75; lambs, $4.75@6.00.
Produce: Butter- Fancy Elgin creamery, 30@32c per Ib; fancy dairy, 21@34c; packing stock, 13@15c. Eggs-Strictly fresh, 21@22c per doz; ice-house, 17@18c; pickled, 12@16c. Dressed poultry-Chickens, 7@8½c per lb; turkeys, 8@9c; ducks, 8@9c; geese, 8@9c. Potatoes- 65@75c per bu; sweet potatoes, $2.50@4.00 per bbl. Apples- Fair to choice, $1.50@2.75 per bbl. Cranberries-Bell and cherry, $9.25 per bbl; bell and bugle, $8.50.
