Fred Cooper has been quite ill for a week past. A saw mili s beihg built at Jerualem in Lima. Sam Guerin's stock oí groceries has been closed out. H. S. Holmes is closing up his Grass Lake business. The villáge has been very lively this week as a reult of the good sleighing. George Taylor, executoi of the estáte of Isaac Taylor, deceased, made final settlement ín that .estáte last Tuesday. Tally one, good long credit mark ] for Judge Kinne for abolishing card ( playing in thejudge's office in the ] court house. , John E. Durand . spent Sunday with frietids in this village. He is now traveling for a company establishing creameries. The new course of study for Chelsea Union School has been made up without any music, vocal or otherwise, in it. That, in the eyes of many patrons of the school, is a great mistake. Prof. Swift's lecture on Telescopic wonders was slimly attended last Friday and Saturday nigtits. A nonsensical, one horseshow is generallv better attended than an instructive lecture in this place.
