Messrs. O.'' and C. Koebbe have returned f rom visiting friends up north. More ice has been hauled at Lake Pleasant this season than at any other time before. We learn that Mr. J. Reno's children have ihe scarlet fever, but are now improving. A party of sleighriders went to Biidgewater last Monday night and (ook Mr. and Mis. W. Schnirring by surprise. A fine oration against prohibido was delivered at the school house, in district number 4 by Mr. Ugele from Lodi, last Thursday. A vcry good report was published last week of school district number 7. Sorry a record of good bchavior and marmers can not be shown, as is indicated by the trouble with their teachers of which they have had a good deal for the last few years. [From another Correspondent [ Frank Uphouse and John Bertkc spent Sunday in Francisco. ' Miss Clara Haab, of Webster, has been visitiug relatives [here the past week. Miss Kate Feldkainpfis spending a few weeks at her brother Ben's near Clinton. Miss Addie Smith is spending the week at her uncle's, Christ Unas in Bridgewater. Mis. Godfrey Eiseman has gone to Bridgewater to spend a week with hér daughter Mrs. Christ Haas. Last week, Dr. C. F. Kapp, of Manchester and his brother, Dr. Kapp, of Ann Arbor, removed uve caneéis from Lambert Dresselhouse. One was on nis lip, tvo on his chin, one on his neck and one on his eye. He is getting along as well as conld be expected.
