Mrs. Springer and daughter, ol East Milán, has been visiting for several days at H. McMichael's. Mr. and Mrs. Wm. Larzelere recieved a surprising visit Tuesday evening from several friends. Geo. Schairer and family and sister, Mrs. M. Otto, visited D. F. S. and family at Ann Arbor last Sanday. The Presbyterian social at Misses üillett's Tuesday evening was a social success, with financial receipts of $5-35Bert Aldrich, of Lansing, visited nis parents here last week. He takes a trip to California soon for the benefit of his health. The Young Peoples Society of C. E., are talking of having a hard times social next Friday evening. This will be very appropriate for the times. Miss Jennie Caldwell's school in District No. 7, publishes a school japer every Friday for each scholar. Subscription price to scholars 3 cents jer month. The Presbyterian S. S. have deided to dónate their old library jooks to some school more needy han themselves. There are several ery good books araong the lot. Mr. and Mrs. J. C. Nissly takes everything this time. At the poultry exhibited at Ypsilanti last week, he showed a fine lot of birds that swept all the premiums in the lines exhibited by him. He now bas the record of showing the highest grade - highest scoring fowls ever exhibiled in Michigan. He sent a few fowls to the Detroit poultry show this week. Frank Ross arrested in Milan Sunday by officers 'Warner and Dexer, for stealing $5o in money and bout $30 worth of jewelry, clothing nd minor articles, from Herbert Gilman's house last Saturday, during ie absence of the family. He laims to have come from Jackson nd is a strong, healthy man about 6 years old. He plead guilty bebre Justice McKinnon, waived an xamination, and Tpas bound over o the circuit court. He boards in the jail at Ann Arbor now.
