New York. Feb. 14.- A special to The Herald from Bingor, Me., says that an alibi bas been made out ia the case of David L. Btain who is in jail charged wiih the murder ia 1878 of Cashier Barrouof the Daxter, Me., Savin;8 bank. Stain was in the vicinity of Franklin, Mass., ou the day of the murder. Stain and Cromwell, who was alao arrested on the statement of young Charles Stain that he was with old man Stain when the crime was committed, will probably ba released 6oon.
