Denver, Col., Feb. 27.- The strike went nto effect at 4 o'clock Mondny moruing. The nigbt passenger train east from here was tiwl up at McCook, Neb., anci the train frora the east left at the same point. No through pasenger trains left here Sunday night on the iurlington. The enginears did not abandon beir trains at way points at 4 a. m. sharp, )ut ran them to the ends of their divisions. All through tickets held by passengers were -aken up and Uuion. Paciöc ticket3 given them. The Denver, Utah & Pacific road, a narrow gauge brarch oL the Burlington, which briugs cor.sirlerable'coal to tbis point, is also tied up by the strike.
