Min xka polis, Minn., March 5. - The Journal's special f rom Mandan, D. T.. says: About midnight Sunday night at New Buffalo, a Pullman conductor namcd Towne, was attacked in the drawing-room of his car by two maskcd men, who sand-bagged him and robbed him of $98 and the contente of his pocket-book. They then dragged him to the platform of the car and left him for dead. He was found after the train had started by a passenge-, but did not regain his senses until the train reached Mandan Monday moming. New Buffulo is a few miles west of Fargo and the train was u west-bound Northern Pacific éwess.
