In 1873, Thomas Harvey, an Englishman, died at Iron Creek, inJManchester ownship, leaving aa estáte amounting ;o about $-5,000 and without any known heirs. In 1879, by order of Judge Harriman, the balance of the money, af ter paying funeral expenses and f or a monument, was paid over into the county treasury. The money thus paid over amounted to $4,5ö6.66. It now looks as ïf this sum will soon have to be paid over to the heirs by the treasurer. The relativos of Harvey live in the famous Island of Thanet at the mouth of the Thames, who have flled evidence of heirship to the Thomas Harvey estáte. They are said to be well-to-do people. If their claim should prove to be wellfounded, the county will have to pay over the $4,500 for some years in the county treasury.
