Died, in the township of Dexter, on the 24th of Maren, 1888, Rosa, daughter of Chris. McQuire aged 16 years. Just in the dawnins; of womanhood, when life is bright and precious and ,he future so f uil of bright prospecte, tosa vüs taken f rom our midst to be at rest in the better home. Her best qualities had won for her the respect and affection of her young associates who will miss the pleasant face, the bnght presence, and her genial companionship. It is hard. oh, how hard, to lose her, to fcel that the girl once so full of life and, jov, ore whoni the broken home circle ca'n recall only in tender associations. is now so still in death. And yet there is consolation for the afflicted ones in knowing that their loved one is in the care and keeping of the Divine Father, secure from the trials and temptations that had not yet molested lier womanhood. And in recalling her last words, she said: "Father, I am going," and calling her brothers and sisters around her, bid Uiem all good by, and then vvanted to know if her gmndma (who has been afflioted for some yeurs) knew she was going. The face, the voice, the laugh will tin ser in the memory of father, brothers and sistors, yet there is a vacancy in theirhearts and home that can never be lilled until they meet her on the other shore. We nc'er ehall see her face again, Her voice no more we'll hear, Untll we walk the golden pluin And meet our frieud most iear. To vis ns more can she return, ' But we to her can go, God's #race upon our hearts shall burn While we remain below. Then, when we are callèd to bid farewell, To earth and earthly things, We will with her foreverdwell, And praise the king of kings."
