Toledo, Ohio, April 28.- G. A. Kmg & Co. issued their spring erop report Saturday which is made up of reporte frora farmers and millers in 440 counties in Ohio, Indiana, Iliacas, Michigan, Missouri and Kansas. Iniana reports that nearly a quarter of the creage has or will be plowed up; Illinois bout a fifth; Ohio about one-eighth, while it s too early to tell about Michigan. Present rospect is for about two-thirds of a crop iu Michigan, nearly that in Ohio and Illinois, vhile Indiana seems to be the poorest. The ondition is worse in all four of the states han it was three weeks ago. Weather has jeen cold and dry, and the crop has suffered, warm rains being badly needed. A few of he counties in Indiana, Ohio and Illinois say n-ospeets are better than a year ago, but ;hey arf exeeprions, as a very large majority report them much worse. Missouri has fair prospeets, a trine better tnan three weeks ago, but somewhat worse than a year ago, when they had a very large crop. A trifle larger amounts than usual has been plowed up. Kansas reports excellent prospeets- better than any year since 1884, when they raised 35,000,000 bushels, but on an acreage of over 2,000,000, while the acreage tbis year is only about 7oO,000. Ihe weather has been favorable tbere and reporta are nearly all better than hen the April agricultural bureau report was gatbered, the amount plowed up being very small. Farmers there will be compelled to sell, causing a íree and early movement. In the other states the season is backward, nearly a third of the report saying tbere has not been enough growing weather to show the actual condition of the erop, but tbe majority seems to thlnk that warm rains soon would improbe the appeaiance.
