Pretty cold weather in Dexter for house cleaning. Several of the Base Ball enthusiasts, of Dexter visited Detroit' last week. The remains of S. S. Jeffoads were brought here Saturday evening last for burial. The change in the M. C. R. R. time table is, we believe, considered beneficial to Dexter travelers. Rev. J. Claflin has gone to Williamston to unite a couple of his old friends in the bonds of matrinony. Bishop Harris offlciated at Saint "ames church Sunday morning last and administered the riteofconfirmaion to ten persons. Rev. W. C. Allen formerly, of Dexter, now of East Tawas, o?cu, pied the pulpit of the Córigfegational church last Sunday evening. Hou. C. S. Gregor has just returned frorti attending the Democratie State Convention at Grand Rapids from which place he made a flying business trip to Petoskey He reports the weather uncomfortably cold in northern Michigan.
