1NEW York, May lo.- Uhairman Kdward Murphy, Jr., of the state committee, called the Democratie convention to order, and stated that by the direction of the state committee he nominated Hou. Frederick Coudert, of New York, teiuporary chairman. An eloquent eulogy on the Democratie party and its leader, Grover Cleveland, was delivered by Daniel Dougherty. Roswell P. Flower, of New York; George Raines, of Rochester; Alfred C. Chapin, of Brooklyn, and Edward Cooper, of New York were chosen by the committee on delegates as delegates-at-large to the national Democratie couvention; Governor HiU's name was put in nomination as a delegate-at-large, but reeeived only flve votes; and this action was ratifled by the convention. The electors at largo are: üswald Ottendorfer, of New York, and Wilson S. Bissell, of Buffalo. At 9:42 p. m. the convention adjourned without day.
