Trunk Lines Cut The Rates

New York, May 16.- The trunk lines have cut lake and rail rates to the following figures: The west-boimd f rom New York by lake and rail to Cleveland, Toledo, Detroit, Port Hurón, Chicago and Mihvaukee, firstclass, 44; second-class, 39; third-class, 31; fourth-class, 23; flfth-class, 19, and siithclass, 1(3 cents per 100 pounds. This reduction amounts to 10 cents per 100 pouuds on first-class from New York to Chicago.
