San Francisco, May 22 - Glover and McAuliffe met in the California Athletic Club rooms to fight to a finish. The men were called at 11 o'clock. In the first two rounds there was cautious sparring, and no hard blows were struck. In the following three rouuds but little fighfcing was done. In the ftïth Glover landed hi3 right heavily on McAuliffe's nose, which swelled badly. In the eighth Glover got in two clever blows on McAulifïe's face and got away. Hard fighting characterized ten rounds. Glover got in a terrinc right-hander, but McAuhffe returned it with odds. At the conclusión of the round Glover seenied fresher. In the eleventh round Glover rushed and reached McAuliffe's wind. A clinch followed. Glover got ín his arm work, weakening McAuliffe. In the twelfth round McAuliflfe had far the best, ;iving Glover a heavy blow on the eye. He ushed him to the ropes, hit him about the íead, dazing Glover considerably. In the thirteenth round McAuliffe gained flrst blood with a cut over Glover's eye with a terrino righMiauder. Twice in the fifteenth round llover landed heavüy on McAuliffie's wind. The latter tried to return the blows, but llover kopt out of the Californian's reach. The sixteenth round was an exciting one. llover sent his left hand hard on McAuliffe's wind. The Jatter got angry, rushed at Glover and gave him a series of terrific blows on the face. In the seventeenth McAuliffe led for Glover and caught him on the neck and knocked him down fairly. In the eiguteenth McAuliflfe received a telling blow' in the ribs. He reovered quickly, and planted a hot ïander on Glover's chin, but faüed to follow his advantage. The twenty-second round nearly terruinated Glover's chances. Ie led for McAuliffe's wind as usual md feil short. McAuliffe shot out his ong right and landed square on Glover's chin, badly dazing the latter. McAuliffe folowed up his advantage and pounded his opwnent unmercifully about the face until ime was called. In the forty-ninth round ïtcAuliiïe was declared the winner.
