Cincinnati, O., May 23. - The musical festival which began last night was highly successful. About 4,000 people attended. The programme contained "Weber's Hymn," in which Lillie Lehman, Theodore Toedt, Emma Cranch, and Mr. Whitney were soloists; Beethoven's "Symphony No. 5," Wagner's "Faust" overture, and J. K. Paine's cantata composed for the festival. Mr. Paine was called out at the conclusion of his cantata.
