Adrián, Mich., May 28.- The Methodist Protestant conference Saturday tabled the report tabooing the use oí tobáceo by the ministry. The temperance question was disposed of by the adoption of a report which commits the church to prohibition and against license in any form, declares it immoral to traffic in or manufacture iutoxicating drinks, and a matter of discipline, and calis upon members to vote only for teraperance candidates and parties. The feeling on these points was not any means unanimous. It was decided to organize a board of home missions, withheadquartersat Graf ton, Va., and the folio wing were chosen to constitute it: The Revs. S. A. Fisher, William Strayer, M. Barnett, and S. K. Spahr, and Messrs. Hawkins, Darbin, and Pierpont.
