" üpon being informed the clerk handed hlm the pen to register "1 don 't want to register now " said the young man "wak until after we get oiarried, then 1 can write lt Mr and Mrs. "That don 't make any difference," said the clerk. "as long as you are going to get married." The youthful swain stepped up to the desk. took the pen. looked itovercarefully and then at the register His face gTew red, and he hesitatingly inscribed "Joseph Link" upou one line. and upon the next, "Mrs Lotta 1 Jnk. all of Scranton " "1 wonder what she would say if she knew it, " he said tn an awestnick voice. and then hurried out tn search of aclergy man The inscription was soon legaüzed.
