Panic In A Burning Tenement
NEW York. June 13.- A fire in the teñe ment house, tt Seeond street, at 1 o'cloek this morning caused a panic among the iumates. Many were reseued witb ladders by the firemen, but is feared that many lives have been lost. Several persons who were badly burned and one woraan injured by jdmping to the street, were taken to hospitals. liustave Berkle was found on an adjoining roof so badly burned that ho died five minutes later. The injured, all burned, are: Herman Ottman, Julius Clemer.ts, AVilliam Wissrick, Mrs. William Wissrick (the latter will probably die), Miss Mary Clements, Maurice Farrell, two Wissrick girls (children, will probably die) ; Mrs. Krenig, leg broken.
