The republican national convention has been in session all the week at Chicags. tt has not been harmonious and has been very slow getting to vvork. After adopting a platform yesterday the candidates for president, Gresham, Harrison, Sberman, Allison, Alger. Depew, Hawlay, etc., were placed in nomination. The convention had not at the latest writinj nominated a ticket.
