Sheriff Walsh, Marshal Sipley and several deputies had a set-to with a' jang of tramps yesterday afternooii, who were located at Swiït'a race uear the dam, with a keg of beer. The tramps, who were a dozen in number, shoived fight, going so far as to draw knives on the offleers. One jumped into the river and was f olio wed by Sipfley, who eaptured him. The officers 3lubbed the tramps itito submission !iud secured seveu of them, wlio were taken to jail, makiug the air blue with oaths and imprecations on the way, The tramps may get the best of the Jackson officers, but when the Washtenaw officers really get after them, they have to come.
