Another civil damage case under the hquor laws, was commenced in the circuit court Monday, when the complaint ot Mrs. Martha Kuhl against Conrad Xaumann, a Manchester saloonkeeper, was filed by Hewett & Freernan, her attorneys. Mrs. Kulü claims to have been damaged S3,000 by Nautuann's selling liquor to her husband, although forbidden so to do, up to February 20. She sets up that her husband, Lambert Kuhl, was under contract to work the Millard farm, ín Manchester township, of 400 acres, aud that he thus supported her and their 6 children, rangin g in age f rooi three to nineteen years. By reason of the liquor obtained at Naumann's, she avers, Kuhl became sick and was conlined to 'nis bed for a month, renderiug medical services necessary aud considerable expense, besides leaving him shattered in mind and body. causing her anguish of mind, mental suffering and disgrace. Catherine Wolf and Warren Kimble, who were the sureties on Naumann's bond last year were also made defendants in the case.
