Hunganán is being sown for hay around here. Unadilla farmers vvill begin cutting their June grass this week if the weather is fine. There is not a good clover field in this section oí the county, and June grass is very light. The heaviest clip of wool was cut by VV. E. Stevenson. It weighed over i,ooopounds. Mr. and Mrs. Dutton, of Unadilla, spent Saturday and Sunday at the oíd home of Mrs. Dutton. Next Saturday any Sunday is the time of the last quarterly meeting in this charge held at Pinckney. Although a little cold last week a party of young men from Ypsilianti camped in the grove here and had a fish eat. Ypsilanti and Dexter boys broke the ice company here last week. It was cold but they had a good time. No mosquitos. Sow a little rye for early spring and late fall feed and then harvest a good erop of grain is the thing to do in scarcity of clover. Planting corn is the rule and not the exception this year . On account of lts slow growth lts enemies had a good chance to injure-it. H. M. TVamley dips sheep in a fluid tick exterminator. He says it makes them grow finely after it makes a clean sweep of the ticks.
