Marquette, Mieh., July lf- -Abraham Peterson, a NorwegiƔn, lies at the Northwestern hospital here with terrible iujury. Wednesday he was out hunting with two Swedes. and when climblng over a fence his gun feil to the ground and was discharged, the load of buckshot splinteriug the bone of his left ankle. Both Swedes were frightened and ran away. Peterson crawled flve miles en his hands and knees and fainted froin loss of blood just as he reached the highway. He lay in the woods for thirty-six hours, nearly crazed with mosquitoes. His sufferings were awfu!, but he will recover.
