Mrs. Charles Niles, who has been visiting at Willis two or three weeks returned to her home near East Milan on Monday. An effort is being made to clear out the so-called bear marsh ditch but has been delayed, as the ditch runs into Wayne county under another name, and consequently requires two petitions. Wheat is struck with rust and there will be a great deal of shrunken wheat in this section of the country. Oats are looking good, and are about ready to cut. Com and potatoes are doing well.
