Chicago, July 23.- In the case of the Bell Telephone company agaitist the Cushmau company for infringement oí the patenta granted Bell, Judge Blodgett Saturday mo rning decided in favor of the Bell company. The deLense was that Bell was not the inventor of the teiephone; that in 13M Dr. Cushman made a talking box, through which he heard the oroaking of f rogs half a mile away, and that in 1853 he held eonversation over a wire six miles leng. The court held that the testimony failed to sliovv that Dr. Cushman in 1851, itvented a telephone. "Whntever was done by Dr. Cushman," the judge said. "should be considerad un experiment. He did not believe the made by liim was perfected so as to bu of any practical value." The judge tureiore en tored decree for the plaintitf.
