$21,400 Worth Of Bicyles In Town
The ühio wheelman, one hundred and sixty four in number came up here from Toledo, Tuesday, to take a run around the triangle, that is to Saline, Ypsilanti and back here again, a distance of twenty seven miles. That Ann Arbor was selected for the annual run of Ohio wbeelman is quite a compliment to our good roads. The 164 ühio bicycles were accompanied on the run by several local bicyclists. The value of the wheels here was 21,400. A census taken of the wheels revealed 2 columbia tandems, 4 columbia tricycles, 50 expert columbias 24 columbia light roadsters, 8 veloc columbias, 24 victors, 5 victor safeties, 21 stars, 9 champions, 7 Rudge lignt roadsters, 1 Rudge bicvlette, 4 Springfleld roadsters, 3 new rapid safeties, 1 Swifts' safety, 1 singer, 1 Apollo, 1 special and 1 kangaroo. T. S. Kirkpatrick president of the national league of wheelman led the run. Ten entliMsiastic lady cyclers were also of the party. After returning here they I hada hill climbing contest in the tlfth ward won by a short legged young man from Manslaeld on a 47 inch whee! in 2.52, the best time made here vet.
