Incendiaries Burn A Town
Cairo, 111 , July 31.- At 1 o'elock yesterday raorning a fire of incendiary origin laid he greatest part of Eldorado, Saline county, n asbes. Tbe large frame building of C. M. Vestbrook, Hargrave's barness shop, Hardesty's barber sbop, Sheldon & Wesbrook's grocery and implement store, the Masonic and Gr. A. 11. halls and the pólice magistrate's office were the first to buru. Nothing was saved in tbe second stories, but the Masoulc :harter, Hárgrave' harness stok, the arber's outfit aad most of Sheltou & Westrook's stock were all saved. Charles J. )eweir's produce house aad contents were to;ally destroyed. ïhe Tetrick building was he next to go, and Parrish Bros. 's saloon building carne next, though the contents were nostly saved. Byron Anthony's store and )r. Burke's office adjoining were also burned. On all the property there was only a few hundred dollars' insurance. Nearly all iroperty owners will rebuild with brick.
