Detroit, Mich., Aug. 6.- Rev. Dr. Samuel S. Harris, bishop of the Episcopal diocese of eastern Michigan since 1879, sailed about six weeks ago, in company with his daughter, for Europe to spend a few months there in recreation. A cable dispatch has just been received here by Rev. Dr. Blanchard, rector of St. John's Episcopal church, from London, England, in which Herbert Park, of this city informs him that Bishop Harris has been stricken down with paralysis in London. The other raembers of Bishop Harris' family aro sojourning at Maukinac islaud.
