Detroit, Aug. 10.- The state Republican convention which met at Detroit yesterday morn ng, pursuant to Wednesday's adjournment, got down to business promptly, and renoruinatsd the entire list of tate offlcers except attoruey general, over wbichthere was a fight. The list includes Governor C'yrus G. Luce, of Gilead; lieutenant governoi, James H. McDonald, Escanaba; treasurer, George L. Maltz, Alpena; secretary of state, fiilbert R. Osman, Dotroit; auditor general, H. H. Aplin, Bay City, ; commissioner of the state land office, Roscoe G. Dix. Berrieu; Attorney general, S. V. R. Trowbrige, of lona; superintendent of public instruction, J. Estabrook, of Eaton: member of state board of edueation, P. P. Power, of Wexford. Electors-atrlarge, R. A. Alger, of Wayne, and Isaac Cappon, of Keat. The convention adopted resolutions reaffirming belief in the principie of protection and demamliug prt per recompense to sokliers of the civil war, and indorsing the noini nations of Harrisou and Morton.
